My Story
Hey, I'm Anna - the owner of The Cozy Bee Bakery! I've had a passion for baking since I was very little, so when I discovered the wonderful art of sourdough a few years ago I absolutely fell in love with it. Everything I bake is entirely from scratch, truly putting my heart and soul into each step of the process.


What Is Sourdough?
Sourdough is the art of making bread using a natural leaven. The long fermentation process, which uses lactic acid bacteria and wild yeast to break down the gluten in the flour, makes this delicious bread much easier for your body to digest. This same fermentation process is also what gives sourdough bread its many health benefits of vitamins and minerals, while also making it easier for your body to absorb these vitamins. For most of human history, bread wasn’t rushed. It was mixed by hand, left to ferment, and shaped by time itself. Naturally leavened bread — sourdough — was made for millennia before commercial yeast and factory shortcuts became the norm.
